Looking to get out sea kayaking?
The North East coast has a lot to offer our sea kayakers, but we also venture up the West Coast of Scotland & Anglesey.
Sea Kayak BasicsOur British Canoeing qualified coaches can help get beginners started on the sea if you're a club paddler. They can help to get paddlers up to Coastal Sea Kayak Award level and learn how to navigate the seas safely and competently.
ExpeditionsOur club sea kayaking team often undertake multi-day and self-supported trips. From overnight camping in the lake district to week long expeditions on the West Coast of Scotland, with trips into Europe from 2022.
Pool & Rolling SessionsRolling can be a hard skill to acquire but an essential one for sea kayaking. Over the winter when it's cold, we offer our membership access to a warm pool to learn and practice their rolling skills.
Sea Skills & SurfOur coaches can help with sea kayaking skills, with rolling and rescue on flatwater lakes, or more advanced conditions on the sea.
For sea surf playboats see our surf section.
Paddling CommunityWe are a large club and have around 150 members, with an active and growing sea kayak section. You'll be able to meet and paddle with a lot of different people who have a passion for sea and other forms of kayaking.
River, Lakes, & TouringOur boat store being on the river Tees gives our sea kayakers opportunity to paddle up the Tees to practice skills. Other flat water trips may include Ellerton Lake, or the many lakes, waters, and meres in the Lake District.
