Sea Kayak Basics
Our British Canoeing qualified coaches can help get beginners started on the sea if you're a club paddler. They can help to get paddlers up to Coastal Sea Kayak Award level and learn how to navigate the seas safely and competently.Expeditions
Our club sea kayaking team often undertake multi-day and self-supported trips. From overnight camping in the lake district to week long expeditions on the West Coast of Scotland, with trips into Europe from 2022.Pool & Rolling Sessions
Rolling can be a hard skill to acquire but an essential one for sea kayaking. Over the winter when it's cold, we offer our membership access to a warm pool to learn and practice their rolling skills.Sea Skills & Surf

Paddling Community
We are a large club and have around 150 members, with an active and growing sea kayak section. You'll be able to meet and paddle with a lot of different people who have a passion for sea and other forms of kayaking.River, Lakes, & Touring
Our boat store being on the river Tees gives our sea kayakers opportunity to paddle up the Tees to practice skills. Other flat water trips may include Ellerton Lake, or the many lakes, waters, and meres in the Lake District.What do we get up to?

How do I start sea kayaking?
We're open to skilled sea kayakers with SKA (or with the same ability). We're also open to competent touring and white water paddlers who wish to start learning sea kayaking.
